June '08 - Mounting Landscape Fixtures on Walls

Are you mounting landscape fixtures on a wall? Are they listed for wall mount? Vision3 Lighting goes the extra mile by having their fixtures listed for wall mounting in addition to ground mounting. UL1838 is a landscape listing and UL1598 is a wall mount listing. The heat ratings change when you use a landscape fixture for a wall mount fixture and so does the listing. Most reputable landscape lighting manufacturers are aware of this and perform the testing required to obtain this listing. In addition, they publish the maximum wattage ratings for wall mount or ceiling mount applications on the fixture specification sheet.
