March '08 - New Clear Anodized Finish Available

Our new Premium Finish, Clear Anodized (CLA) is now available on all machined aluminum products.

For those specifiers who want the look of raw or brushed aluminum, this new finish is the solution.

To create this special finish, we start with 6061-T6 alloy aluminum (also known as ‘copper-free’ aluminum), give it a brushed surface finish, then clear anodize it to create a beautiful finish that appears to be brushed, raw aluminum, yet is protected from the elements by the anodizing treatment.

We call this a Premium Finish because there is an up-charge for this process and the lead time is normally two weeks longer than our standard finishes.
